Dining at Villa Las Tronas is an experience to be shared with the one you love: after an aperitif at the cosy, welcoming bar, dinner is served by candlelight in the restaurant, accompanied by classical music played live, or in an informal manner but just as delightful on the panoramic terrace close by.

LUCA MARAGLIANO - CHEF from 1st April 2009 at Villa Las Tronas

Luca Maragliano was born in Genoa in 1970 into a family of cooks and confectioners. He attended the Marco Polo Hospitality Management College, graduating in 1988.

Since then he has followed a training route that has drawn him close to various "land" and "sea" cuisines. After important experience in his home-town, he moved abroad and attended prestigious chefs’ kitchens in France and Holland.

At the age of 25 he was already the chef of a well-known restaurant in Liguria. Wanting to tackle more complex situations, he chose to embark on a cruise ship and reached the top of the kitchen brigade.

At the end of the nineties he opened his own restaurant, achieving a Michelin star.

Apart from a number of awards (among which that of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce stands out) and participation in several gastronomic competitions, Luca has collaborated in the opening of various restaurants in Liguria and lower Piedmont.

He has held training courses in cookery, confectionery and the "art of sugar".
